Freightlink FTP – message “Check Parameters/Firewall”

 

This means that either the Parameters are wrong or a firewall is blocking it.

 

In the program the Parameters should look like this –

 

 

You should have the username and password already and your depot code may be different.

 

If you want to check whether the FTP site is up and running then simply go into Internet Explorer. Type this on the address line –

 

ftp://www.freightlink.myftpserver.com

 

If this shows a normal screen then the site is up.

 

If you get an error then it is down. Ring the hub if this happens.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To check the Windows firewall in XP then go to Start then Control Panel and then into Windows Firewall.

 

 

Click on the EXCEPTIONS tab.

 

Choose ADD PROGRAM.

 

 

Click on BROWSE.

 

Browse the local C: drive. Go into Program Files the FreightlinkFTP.

 

Click on FreightlinkFTP.EXE and Open.

 

Save this then exit.
